what if
the whole “mirror mirror on the wall who’s the fairest of them all” thing was created so that
little girls would do it in the mirror and
when their reflection didn’t change they’d see how beautiful they are
what if

that is the most beautiful thing i have read all week
okay but also can we talk about the episode where natasha was a vampire

and she

ran into a mirror

because she couldn’t see her own reflection and just

knocked herself out
This is the best piece of vampire fiction I have ever laid eyes on
Okay and now there are several new things I’m afraid of.
I refuse to have mirrors in my bedroom because I have this lingering fear that my reflection will attack me if I look in the mirror when it’s dark. Midnight bathroom runs are done very carefully.
I was never afraid of mirrors until my friend Lisa was like, “I cover up my mirror at night because I’m afraid of the mirror people coming out and getting me,” and I thought, yeah, that sounds legit, and now I’m afraid of mirrors.
We were like 30 when that conversation happened.
what if the only reason we can’t walk through mirrors is because our reflection blocks us
what if they’re protecting us though
what if they know that the other side is horrifying and painful and they are trying to keep us from ever crossing over
I must be on the wrong side of the mirror then
maybe you’re the reflection.

this needs to be a book.
No matter how you’re feeling or what’s going on in your life, close your eyes and smile. Observe the feeling of warmth that wells up in your body as you do it and the shift in your mood as you turn that frown upside down. A smile has the power to positively affect your mood, feelings and even actions. So today, give it a try and smile; smile often. Smile at your own reflection in the mirror, smile at a loved one or smile at a random stranger on the street, because when you smile, something lights up inside you. :-) :-)
Numbers don’t define you! Take a pledge that you will look in the mirror today and find that unique beauty within yourself
I hope you all learn to love yourself
I hope one day you look in the mirror and call yourself beautiful
I hope that one day you realize that you’re not a burden in any way
I hope you see the true beauty that you bring to this Earth

Okay, good, I was worried for a second! Awesome, yeah, I was from South West Sydney (a town called Camden) What’s your name? xo
I think the reason we see the flaws in ourselves but not necessarily in others is an evolutionary benefit so we know what qualities to look for in mates, that way we can reduce human flaws and optimise the quality of the entire race.
So, when you feel bad and can only see the negative things about yourself, just stop and think - if you can see the things that need improvement about yourself, then you can help advance our species by breeding with someone who is stronger in those areas.
The way that people treat you is a reflection of those people, never a reflection of you, and that’s a very important thing to internalize.
